2025 StructSolve Greatest Project Representative of the Year
“Singlehandedly replacing all net sales, and even setting record months during this time, forces me to admit that Alex may be a better salesman than me.”
2025 StructSolve Greatest Representative of the Year
Awarded to: Alex Alstott
StructSolve Engineering is proud to recognize Alex Alstott as the recipient of our 2025 Greatest Project Representative of the Year Award.
This award exists to honor the person who best represents StructSolve to clients and partners through excellence in communication, consistency in follow-through, and measurable contribution to the company’s growth. Alex has demonstrated each of these qualities in a remarkably short period of time. He joined StructSolve in September and, in roughly three months, established a pace and standard that has had an immediate and tangible impact on our business.
In fast-growing organizations, the most important contributions often come from individuals who can step into a moving system and create stability while still driving results. Alex did exactly that. He entered during a season that required maturity, resilience, and action. He embraced responsibility quickly, learned the details of our work with intensity, and brought a level of discipline that positioned StructSolve for sustained momentum in both operations and sales.
Alex’s performance has been evident from the outcomes he delivered early. He sold StructSolve’s first CSD project, an opportunity evaluated at four times the value of our current most expensive offering. That sale was not simply a win; it represented a new tier of client trust and a meaningful expansion of what the market is willing to engage us for. It required skill, credibility, preparation, and the ability to communicate value at a high level. Alex delivered that result early in his tenure, and it raised expectations for what is possible.
His impact accelerated immediately upon hiring. In October, Alex set a record month, which is particularly notable given how new he was to the organization. He also helped stabilize a gap in sales during one of his first major stretches of responsibility. In his first real month, he effectively absorbed an estimated $20,000 swing in sales, replacing net sales quickly through consistent work on the phones and persistent follow-through with clients. His activity level did not decline after the initial month; he stayed in the work and continued building momentum.
Alex’s excellence is not limited to revenue outcomes. His client work reflects professionalism and intelligence in ways that stand out. He is exceptionally responsive, and that responsiveness is paired with good judgment. He has shown an ability to sense when a relationship needs more pressure and clarity, and when it needs patience and space. That balance is rare in client-facing roles. He does not treat consultations as routine calls. He researches clients before and during consultations, asks informed questions, and adapts his approach to the person and situation in front of him. His intelligence is clear in how quickly he understands the realities of a project and the needs of the client, and in how naturally he aligns those needs with the services we provide.
Internally, Alex has contributed well beyond the scope of sales. He ran interviews for Iowa State interns, representing the company with maturity and helping set our recruiting tone for the future. He also took ownership of the company’s calendar implementation, then set a new standard for how scheduling and coordination are handled. That work has had significant ripple effects. Calendar discipline is operational discipline; when it is done poorly, it creates confusion, missed handoffs, and unnecessary stress. Alex improved our execution in a way that affects every department, and the coordination required to make that change has been substantial.
He has also become closely involved with operations and administration, stepping into coordination needs that have been “unreal” in volume and complexity. That involvement matters because project representation is not simply selling work; it includes managing expectations, supporting the team’s ability to deliver, and keeping clients informed with accuracy and professionalism. Alex has shown he is willing to own the full scope of that responsibility.
From a culture standpoint, Alex has been a joy to have in the office. He is encouraging, warm, and has the temperament of a “teddy bear” in the best sense: steady, supportive, and genuinely caring. His heart for other people shows in the way he treats coworkers and clients, and his presence has contributed to a more family-like environment in the workplace. That cultural contribution is not secondary. Teams function best when people feel supported and respected, and Alex has helped strengthen that standard.
On a personal note, Alex has recently become engaged, and he is a terrific father to his daughter, Viola. That part of his life shows through in the office. He carries responsibility with seriousness, he values people, and he consistently looks for ways to contribute. He does not wait to be asked. He notices needs and moves toward them, whether that means supporting operations, improving a system, or doing the hard work required to keep sales strong.
As President, I will add one more perspective. Alex has become a genuine friend of mine. I enjoy spending time with him, and I value the trust and camaraderie that has formed quickly. Even with that personal closeness, the decision to recognize him is grounded in objective impact. He has delivered results, stabilized key processes, represented StructSolve with professionalism, and strengthened our culture—all within an extremely short timeframe.
The Greatest Project Representative of the Year Award is awarded to someone who advances StructSolve through client representation, operational coordination, and consistent growth contribution. Alex Alstott has done that, and he has done it early, decisively, and with a maturity that is uncommon for someone so new to an organization.
Alex, thank you for the effort you have brought to StructSolve, the standard you have set, and the heart you have shown to both clients and coworkers. We are grateful for your contribution, and we are proud to recognize you as StructSolve’s 2025 Greatest Project Representative of the Year.
